Our projects
Equip Libraries
Library spaces, reading rooms and textbooks
The purpose
Library spaces, reading rooms and textbooks
This project aims to develop welcoming reading spaces and library collections, and improve access to curriculum-aligned textbooks in schools we plan to work with. Support could include shelving, tables, chairs, simple borrowing arrangements and textbooks for priority subjects and grades, in languages agreed with each school.
Well-organised libraries and suitable textbooks could help pupils read for enjoyment, borrow books, follow classroom lessons and study independently.

What support could include
- Reading rooms and library corners with suitable shelving, tables and chairs
- Age-appropriate storybooks for enjoyment and independent reading.
- Curriculum-aligned textbooks for priority subjects and grades.
- Simple book organisation, care and borrowing systems
The difference we aim to make
- Better access to suitable reading books and curriculum textbooks.
- More opportunities for pupils to enjoy reading and study independently.
- Book collections that schools can organise, care for and reuse.
Our approach
Shaped by each school
Support should respond to a clear school priority, be suitable for the learners who will use it and be practical to maintain. The final scope will depend on assessed needs and available resources.
Listen and agree priorities
- We plan to work with schools to identify needs and agree appropriate support, permissions and responsibilities.
Plan practical delivery
- Local experts will review proposed activities for suitability, cost, accessibility and safe use.
Follow up and learn
- For approved projects, we intend to document the support provided, seek school feedback and review its usefulness.
Help in a useful way
- Contact us before offering books, equipment or other materials so we can discuss suitability and delivery arrangements.
