Include Every Learner

Our projects

Include Every Learner

Accessibility and inclusive participation

The purpose

Accessibility and inclusive participation

This project aims to identify individual barriers to learning and plan adapted materials and specialist support with schools, families and relevant professionals, so pupils with disabilities and others facing barriers can participate in education.

Working with schools, families and disability organisations helps identify barriers and support each learner’s participation and progress.

Include Every Learner

What support could include

  • Identify learning barriers with pupils, families, teachers and specialists.
  • Adapted learning materials and assistive tools for individual pupils.
  • Specialist support suited to each learner’s needs.
  • Individual learning and support plans agreed with teachers and families.

The difference we aim to make

  • Fuller participation in learning for pupils with disabilities and others facing barriers.
  • Learning support that responds to each pupil’s individual needs.
  • Closer cooperation between teachers, families and specialists to support pupils’ progress.

Our approach

Shaped by each school

Support should respond to a clear school priority, be suitable for the learners who will use it and be practical to maintain. The final scope will depend on assessed needs and available resources.

Listen and agree priorities

  • We plan to work with schools to identify needs and agree appropriate support, permissions and responsibilities.

Plan practical delivery

  • Local experts will review proposed activities for suitability, cost, accessibility and safe use.

Follow up and learn

  • For approved projects, we intend to document the support provided, seek school feedback and review its usefulness.

Help in a useful way

  • Contact us before offering books, equipment or other materials so we can discuss suitability and delivery arrangements.
